PRAGUE SHOPS

Centrum Chodov:

With a Hypernova supermarket, swathes of clothing stores, a bowling alley and gym, Centrum Chodov is a veritable day out.

Lucerna Pasaz:

More of a shopping arcade than a shopping mall, but full of independently owned shops, cafes, restaurants, a cinema, music bar/club and a restaurant. A forerunner of modern mega-malls perhaps?

Also home to David Cerny's (he of the crawling babies on the TV Tower) statue of St Wenceslas on an upside down horse that pardoies the one that stands at the top of Wenceslas Square.

Palac Flora:

Opened 20th March 03. Conveniently situated above Flora metro station, this addition to Prague's growing mall population offers fashion boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops, an 8 screen multi-plex cinema, and the Czech Republic's first iMax cinema too.

Andel - Novy Smichov:

A huge shopping center that has everything from clothes shops (Benetton, Jackpot, H&M, Marks & Spencers, Next etc.) to a multiplex movie theather and a huge supermarket (Carrefour). Nice, new design.

Metropole Zlicin:

Gleaming new shopping center in Prague 5, featuring Electro World, kenvelo, C & A, and an array of food eateries from Tex-Mex to Chinese. Interspar supermarket added in early 2004.
